"Iberieli" is Zurab Tofuridze's family winery, located in the village of Sakvavistke, Chokhatauri Municipality. Our family possesses 2 hectares of vineyards in Guria and 5.5 hectares in Kakheti. The name "Iberieli(Iberian)" was chosen by my children. It pays homage to the people who crafted wine in the Caucasus countless millennia ago, later to be known as Georgians.
Our family's objective is to nurture the age-old wine making traditions in Qvevri (clay pots buried in the ground), crafting distinctive natural wines from indigenous grapes. We aspire to set a benchmark in this domain, not just for our peers but for our friends as well. We planted our initial vineyards in Guria and commenced wine bottling in 2009. Presently, our wines enjoy successful distribution across various European countries, in addition to America, Australia, China, and Japan.
